Global Sovereign Monarchy

“The LORD says, ‘A Day is coming when I will restore the Kingdom of David, which is like a house fallen into ruins. I will repair its walls and restore it. I will rebuild it and make it as it was long ago.’”
Amos 9:11-12

God ordained the House of Judah to be the Kingly tribe — not for one people only, but to bring all nations under the Covenant of God. The Kingdom of David exists not to rule as a tyrant over mankind, but to establish the systems that set men free to walk in righteousness.
The Kingdom of God is a Monarchy. The crown, the throne, and the royal house are not inventions of men but an earthly pattern of the heavenly structure — a reflection upon the earth of the order that reigns in Heaven.
When the Lord Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He gave the very charter of this Kingdom: that the will of God be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. The earthly must come to match the heavenly. This is the beginning, and the whole purpose, of the House and Kingdom of David.
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Long before any king was crowned in Israel, God had already ordained the tribe of Judah to be the Kingly tribe. It was never the will of God that His people should be without a king — He had foreordained their king through the line of Judah.
Yet when Israel first demanded a king like the nations around them, they did not choose according to what God had preordained. They chose Saul, who was not of the tribe of Judah. God permitted the people to have their way for a season — to show them that all things must be done according to His will and purpose, for He alone knows the end from the beginning, and knows what makes men free and what brings them into bondage. Then He raised up David of Judah, a man after His own heart.
“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”
The covenant God swore unto David was not for a generation, but for ever. He bound Himself by oath that the seed of David should be established and his throne built up to all generations — a kingdom of righteousness, judgment, and peace without end.
This is no throne of conquest, but a throne of justice; not a kingdom that increases by the sword, but one whose government and peace shall have no end, ordered and established with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
“I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations.”
The House of Judah was not ordained for the Israelites alone. They were chosen to bring all nations under the Covenant of God. It is in the very heart of God that the Kingdom of David should reach from sea to sea, taking in the whole world.
So the prophets foretold a dominion from sea to sea, the Gentiles coming to its light and kings to the brightness of its rising — and the Psalms of Solomon, in their seventeenth and eighteenth chapters, unfold what is written in Psalm 72, Psalm 89, Isaiah 60, and Ezekiel 37: the Son of David gathering a holy people and reigning in righteousness over the nations.
“He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.”
The Kingdom of David is not the rule of a tyrant over the people; its calling is to establish the systems that will free mankind to walk in the ways of righteousness — a benevolent government that serves, lifts, and liberates.
This is the restoration spoken of by all the holy prophets since the world began: the fallen tabernacle of David raised up again, the scattered made one nation under one shepherd, the times of the restitution of all things made manifest upon the earth.
“And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd.”
